Goodbye 2010, Hello 2011

In approximately 35 hours, it is the time of the year again to bid farewell to year 2010 and welcome year 2011 with my wide open arms..Oh man, I am getting old whether I like it or not :)

Anyway, let me just do a recap of what happened in 2010 in this post before wrapping up the year. In overall, I would say that this year had been treating me quite well although there were ups and downs and I hope it will be even better going forward. *prays*

Anyway, here goes!!! :)

Met many new friends and my friend's cycle is getting bigger and so far most of the ppl I met is wonderful, and thank goodness there are no rotten apples amongst them. Haha..

I would say that I have been doing quite alot of traveling this year..some locally and some at overseas. Went to Taiwan earlier this year not too long after Chinese New Year 2010 and continued in August, where I went to Siem Reap and had the opportunity to visit Angkor Wat which is one of the Seven Wonders of The World. The place was magnificent and travel experiences had been fucking cool! (hope I could visit the Great Wall of China soon..which is also another wonder and must visit place..hopefully in 2011 or 2012).. Better start saving! :)

Visited a few local places for weekend getaways; Malacca, Langkawi, Ketam Island, Perlis, Langkawi Island and Genting Highland to name a few.. with some of my close friends!

Also in this year, I got hooked up with my dearest and our relationship has been great ever since. She's a very understanding and detailed person, got to be the most perfect person I've known (still have no idea why we didn't get together sooner while we were in college time..haha..well, it's still a mystery). Life has been great with her around and she has never fail to bring my mood up whenever I am feeling down. So, thanks my dear.. You're the best and I love you :)

Other good things that happened to me, is some bonus from Mr 4D (to sponsor me with my remaining car loan repayments and next year Japan's trip with my dearest). This is to make up with the zero bonus I received from my company. Luckily life's fair at this point for me. So no complaint, and thanks for the good luck!

Last but not least, I've tendered my resignation in this company and will be moving on to a new one for a better career path and of course with whole new challenges awaiting for me ahead. Shall not give up and work my very best to achieve what I have been targeting for...A COMFORTABLE LIFE!

I believe there will be greater plans laid for me in 2011, and I shall try my very best to achieve the goals (need all the luck that I can get) :)

So long 2010....adios!

Money issue

"Money will not buy you happiness"

Is this term familiar to most of us? Yes it does and it's quite true to some extent. Look, money will not buy you happiness but without money there will not be happiness either. However, money is the root of all problems and voila, money gives you happiness, frustrations and worse a high suicide statistic.

This is what I notice lately, never talk about money in front of anyone. It affects all the relationships you have been trying to build over the years and the best solution to this monateray problem is as simple as not to talk or discuss about it. If you could not avoid the topic, keep it to a minimal level.

Life has been quite good to me lately; but as usual there are always ups and downs. The downs are due to monetary issues, thank goodness it is not that bad..

Received an early Christmas gift from the management today :- a customized HP Ipod Nano (8GB)!!

Not that great compare to others, but hey it's free and I don't have to spend a dime on it!!

Woohoo..happy happy~

Merry Christmas VS Merry Xmas

This morning I woke up and decided to post something about Christmas vs Xmas. This is what I notice, ppl nowadays tend to use Xmas instead of Christmas and it's getting absurd. Seriously, the reason why we all have Christmas in the first place is because of Christ! (Please note that I am not a Christian, but I have high respect for other religions as well)

Why do some people tend to cross out the "Christ" with an X instead? Laziness? Religious issues? Whatever it is, for goodness sake, please stick back to Merry Christmas... Originality rocks. Enough said :)

Also why does Red Cross turns to Red Crescent in certain countries? I can say for sure this is due to religious purpose that I do not wish to elaborate. At least make it a Green Crescent or something.. It would be way cooler isn't it? Or, standardize it to a common name with no religious effects.

Anyway, MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE! (Yeah, it's a bit early. LOL)

Petrol Hike 5 cents per litre for RON95.

This post maybe long overdue, but due to the recent 5 cents hike per litre for RON95, the impact is slowly starting...

First there's a price increase of 20 cents per kilogram of sugar. Ok, one may think that hey it's only 20 cents per kilogram of sugar and you don't really use that much right? Well, in Boleh Land aka Malaysia we have the ability to make profit out of everything. Guess that, the price of a glass of teh tarik in any mamak has incread by 20 cents per glass! Yes, that's right.. PER GLASS (WTF right?) This is an upset trend that we have seen over the years and enjoyable mamak sessions no longer enjoyable anymore.. Anyway, no choice and just got to live with it..maybe lesser mamak sessions going forward.

And also due to the fuel hike, the price of eggs had increased by 60 cents per tray.. I can foresee more to come.. Just gotta lay back and brace with the high prices. There's nothing we can do.. Just need live with it.

I still do not have a fucking idea why an oil producing country can have such a ridiculous petrol price. To the minister who said that our petrol is cheap comparing to neigbouring country, that's because they DO NOT have oil in their country. Try comparing with other oil producing countries instead for fuck sake.

Only in Boleh Land! Malaysia Boleh!

Suicide News (Alviss Kong's case)

Today there has been a buzz all across my Facebook regarding a Facebook suicide note left by a despaired young man. There have been various news sharing / links to the suicide note and even Youtube clips among my friends (omg -_- is that necessary?)

Anyway, being curious and all I decided to go to the links to know better what's actually going on. Apparently a 22 y/o guy threw himself from 14 stories high building after his 18 y/o decided to end their 4 months relationship. Before doing so, he left a long suicide note and counting down to his action which will happen on 10-Dec-2010 sharp at 12.00 am.

I think it's quite an unfortunate and pitiful event how the guy decided to end his life due to love. The relationship lasted only a mere 4 months period and he decided to end his life for it. This shouldn't be happening in the first place, one should not give up easily in life due to minor failures. When you fail, you stand up and climb again. You do repeat the process all over when you failed again. Do not give yourself an easy way out by giving up or ending your life.

The action would leave a long trail of devastation and emotional breakdown for his loved ones especially the family.

Hopefully this will not be a trend for teenagers to end their life. Suicide is an easy way out but not for the loved ones they left behind.

Add On: YX says she will laugh at me if one day I suicide for her..(WTF?!). Of course I won't do that... =)

Crazy Day

Just spent 2 hours on the road enduring very heavy traffic havoc after a big and long downpour. It was raining cats and dogs and bam! suddenly everywhere you are is full of long queue of cars. Dang!

Anyway, just got back and am dead tired now. Trying to catch some rest by blogging and spent a typical weekday in front of the stupid box before dozing off to sleep.

Planning to send my car to the workshop for a routine service and *sigh* to have one of my "preggo" tyre replaced AGAIN tomorrow.

=.=Zzzz..
